Walk of Fame

Some of the members of the “I Saw It In” community have had the honor to be inducted into the “Walk Of Fame” on the site. This is because they were able to match clothes that were featured in a movie with the store or stores where the public can buy the clothes. If you have an eye for fashion and enjoy going to the movies, you, too, can be a member of the “Walk Of Fame” at www.isawitin.com.

Here’s how it works - You go to a movie and see a dress that you HAVE TO HAVE. So you find out the name of the wardrobe designer and do some checking online. After you have found the name of the dress designer, you can then discover where the clothes are sold. In some cases, you may even find the information in a magazine. This works for sunglasses, shoes, jewelry and all fashion accessories.

Then, when you submit your findings to “I Saw It In,” you are in the “Walk Of Fame!” You have the honor of being a fashion expert and also are participating in this fun community of movie and fashion lovers.

Some of the newest members of the “Walk Of Fame” have found clothes such as Brad Pitt’s red parka and George Clooney’s blue jacket in “Ocean’s 13” as well as Odette Yustman’s coveted gold dress. Even the wedding band worn by Gweneth Paltrow in “A Perfect Murder” is featured in the Walk of Fame.

Visit I Saw It In and see more about getting into the “Walk Of Fame.”

I Saw It In - Clothes From “The Women”

I Saw It In - Clothes From “The Women”
If you have yet to see the film “The Women,” run, don’t walk to your local theater. The film is a remake of the 1939 movie starring Norma Shearer and Joan Crawford as “the other woman.” This film has a host of stars including Annette Bening, Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith and Bette Midler to name a few.

Like the 1939 version of the film, which was based on a play that was written by Clare Booth Luce, the film centers around one woman, Mary, and her catty friends who, upon discovering her husband is having an affair, are alternately delighted and sympathetic. In the original film, the women were all socialites who routinely met for lunch at Park Avenue restaurants and at the spa. In the 2008 version of “The Women,” directed by Diane English, the women are more modern and have careers in fashion - making the film one of the more fashionable films this season. Look for the clothes that are featured in this film to take off in real life.

The 1939 version of “The Women” was a black and white film that had a color sequence featuring a fashion show. The new version features a fashion show as well. If you like to keep up with the latest fashions, this is the movie that you will want to see.

The interesting thing about the film is that although men are discussed throughout the film, they are not in the film. The film stars women and women only, who seem to do nothing but talk about men.

The costume designer for “The Women” in the 2008 version is John A. Dunn. He has worked on such films such as “I’m Not There,” “Fast Track,” and others. The premise of both films is pretty much the same and those who enjoyed the 1939 George Cukor film will enjoy this new version as well.

Interested in the fashionable clothes from the film? So are many of our readers and we need your help to find them, help your fellow readers find and buy the clothes they saw in The Women.
