The Hollywood Walk of Fame. How many of us have seen it? In pictures, on film, in person? During my childhood my Dad worked in Hollywood, so trips to the office always meant a mix of billboards, traffic and the occasional naked streaker, during High School we would jump on the RTD (the city bus) and head to Hollywood for a day of freedom, burgers and trouble that only high schoolers seem to get into. A few years later the same group of friends headed there for music, clubbing and our frequent late night laughter sessions at The Comedy Store. For us, Hollywood's streets; Sunset, Vine Hollywood Blvd were places to find our favorite store, meet at, our use to navigate that mile or so area that encompassed our Hollywood world. But for others these streets immortalize, as they should, Hollywood - past, present and future. And as written in the lyrics to The Kinks song Celluloid Heroes
..There are stars in every city,
In every house and on every street,
And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Their names are written in concrete!
Here at ISawItIn.com we also have our folks who do good for others...these folks are fellow readers who have helped someone else find that dress from a movie, or a hat just like an actor wore in a film. So, to make sure we recognize and thank them we have started our own Walk of Fame. Visit it and see who has recently been inducted and the items they have found! And Find out how you can get a star with your name added to ISawItIn.com

"I'm Ready for my Closeup Mr DeMille...."
Great Line and a Great Movie. There are so many people involved in making a Hollywood movie come to life...it really is the magic of Hollywood. From the creative people, to the business side, from the extras to the actors, from the caterer to the craftsman...so many involved in the film business and only some get a closeup, some poster credits, some appear in the credit roll and some we never even heard of (stay tuned folks there is another posting coming that uses the song that line is from).. But, there are some whose work we see during the whole movie, whose work helps to bring the character to life and through collaboration with the actors and actresses, we the film viewer, are able to admire their movie wardrobe selections and thanks to ISawItIn.com, buy the pieces for our own wardrobe. Yes, I am talking about the Costume Designer and the people in the costume and wardrobe areas of a film. So, as part of our efforts to keep bringing you great information on the movie clothes and other items you see in film and to give credit to those whose work we admire, want and yes...even obsess over...we have now added information on the costume designers whose movies are featured on ISawItin.com. Names we all know like Patricia Field (Sex and The City, The Devil Wears Prada), names whose work we have recently featured like Cindy Evans (PS I Love You, Lords of Dogtown) and names we are becoming more familiar with like Joanna Syrokomla (.45 with Milla Jovovich and the upcoming Robert Townsend directed movie about boxer Sonny Liston Phanthom Punch) and Luis Sequeira (Charlie Bartlett). Cloverfield Dress (Nope the shirt)
Ok...seems the yellow dress in Cloverfield is quite popular. But what about the Slusho shirt? Yes, The Slusho Shirt you see worn by Rob Hawkin's brother in the movie. Slusho! makes an appearance as the Japanese soft drink company that hires Rob for a job in marketing. In the trailer, the logo can be seen on the t-shirt worn by the character Jason "Hawk" Hawkins (Mike Vogel). Rob gives his brother the T-Shirt after receiving it from the Slusho! company. The shirt has also been spotted in everything from Heroes to Alias. So head over to the shopping section and get The Slusho Shirt.

Clothes and Rules from Georgia Rule
On Clothes from the Movies
You ever notice how movie clothes seem somewhat timeless. We have! Why is it that we all want clothes from the movies? Perhaps for the same reason that in my twenties I bought my clothes off the mannequin (Ok I still do sometimes) at the department store. See the way I figure it someone at the department store spent alot of time and creative energy to pick out the pieces, place them on the mannequin and arrange them so that they would appeal to shoppers. So why would I spend my time and energy figuring out what to buy when I could just buy what was on the mannequin and look good (ok figure withstanding). But does that make sense to you? So IMHO that is one reason why we all love to buy the clothes from the movies. Because the costume designer spent alot of time understanding the character, the scene and the movie to determine what clothing the movie star would wear. The work has been done for us and it looks good...sometimes really good, inspiring us to find and buy the clothes. In the end the connection between Hollywood and Fashion has been in place since the beginning. Our own personal style comes from many different inspirations points and we at ISawItIn.com are glad we can help you find the pieces that inspire your style.
Make your Bed, Clean Your Room and other life lessons
Moms teach us many things. Some of them through words, others actions, some through inactions and some lessons we are only aware of after they have left this earth. Remember your Mom whenever these lessons come thru, pull you through or when you bestow them upon your child, someone else or even your significant other (acting like a child). So make your bed and listen to Mum. Hey, speaking of making your bed what about that bedding Hilary Swank was tossing around in PS I Love You! Many of you wrote to us asking who designed the bedspread in the movie or where you could get something similiar. So we took a look around and got you some info...go check it out at our PS I Love You store.
